Field Service Technologist

Agilus is recruiting for a Field Service Technologist in the HV Substation Commissioning/Maintenance industry in Mississauga, Ontario.
The Field Services Technologist to join our team and deliver exceptional service in commissioning, maintenance, and repair of power systems. This role involves hands-on work in industrial and commercial environments, ensuring safety, reliability, and superior client experiences. The ideal candidate would be willing to get their 309A Electrician License. This role can be based in Mississauga or Sudbury. Frequent travel and overnight stays are required for this job.
Total rewards:

$40.00 - $70.00 hourly
Hourly rate is based on years of experience.

A typical day:

Prepare job plans, ensuring all materials and equipment are available.
Perform low, medium and high-voltage energy isolation, maintenance, and testing.
Commission and maintain primary and secondary power equipment, including breakers, switchgear, relays, and transformers.
Execute equipment upgrades and ensure compliance with project scope and quality standards
Equipment upgrades as well as maintenance, testing and commissioning services for commercial, industrial and utility customers
Routine Low, Medium, and High Voltage Maintenance during customer shutdowns
Complete documentation, technical reviews, and reports accurately and on time.

Successful candidates will have:

Proven ability to lead project teams and manage dynamic work environments
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel.
Must be flexible to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Experience in HV substation construction projects
Trade or technical school certification required; Electrical Engineering degree, CET, PSE, or NETA certification is an asset.
3 + years in field services, commissioning, or maintenance of power delivery equipment.
Hands-on experience with breakers, switchgear, relays, and transformers.
