This Environmental Officer role leads environmental compliance, carbon reduction initiatives, and sustainability programs in a complex, regulated setting. You’ll collaborate with diverse stakeholders to advance environmental performance and shape long-term sustainability strategies within a high-impact infrastructure organization. Total rewards:- $53.00 hourly
- Salary increases to $55.81 after 6 month probation

A typical day:- Lead implementation of environmental and sustainability programs
- Ensure compliance with federal and provincial environmental regulations
- Manage carbon reduction and environmental performance initiatives
- Prepare technical reports, audits, and regulatory submissions
- Conduct environmental investigations and risk assessments
- Collaborate with internal teams, tenants, contractors, and agencies
- Support environmental planning for operations and development projects
- Promote environmental awareness and best practices across the organization
Successful candidates will have:- Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or related field
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a regulated, complex environment
- Strong knowledge of environmental legislation and compliance frameworks
- Experience with technical reporting and regulatory submissions
- Ability to analyze data and provide actionable environmental guidance
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License and eligibility to work in Canada. Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearance
- Preference may be given to applicants holding a professional designation such as AAE, CRSP, R.P. Bio, P.Eng, P.Geo, P.Ag, or equivalent, in the areas of airport operations or environmental management.
